The force air-pump

It was an air pump which constitutes the predecessor of the sprinkler. It consisted of a waterproof ball that had a force piston pump for air compression with a non-return valve. The air pressed the content liquid inside the ball and sprayed it from a special rotating two-level provision for spraying.
